The Hind Hotel is a Grade II* listed 17th-century coaching inn on the town square in the centre of Wellingborough. Built just before the civil war, pass through the impressive porte cochere entrance and the hotel has a wealth of period features and history associated with it. Used by Cromwell in the days before the decisive civil war Battle of Naseby, the Hind holds a pivotal place in the history books. All rooms at the Hind offer en-suite bathrooms. Many of the rooms offer period features and charm, whilst retaining comfort for modern guests. Rooms are spread across 3 floors, with some opening directly on the courtyard car park for easy access. The grand staircase accesses the upper floors where most rooms are situated. There is no lift at present. The first floor provides for 3 function rooms (as well as 14 of the guest rooms) and the beautifully preserved Cromwell suite – bar and function room The ground floor provides the charming oak-beamed restaurant, resident’s lounge bar, and coffee shop (formally known as Ollie’s after old Ironsides Cromwell himself). Parking on site is limited to around 11 spaces. There are however parking areas on-street around the hotel and various car parks within an easy walk
